About Cards... and sometimes dice

I had posted some pieces about dice elsewhere online, another interest I've come to enjoy in recent years, but I figured there are likely enough people reading this page with similar interests (in cards and perhaps dice too), who might appreciate an occasional post like this even if it was only "sleightly" (see what's happening there!?) related to cards.

A while back, I got this beautifully restored whip cup from Slim Card Co. along with two sets of five dice to switch in and out on the unsuspecting. The five dice pictured roll high numbers. It has a rubber bar-style base to keep it stable and dry on the bar top or table.

The whip cup can be used in a number of ways, to win against the unsuspecting sucker. The simple version of the scam uses a whipping action whenever you want to roll a winning combination of high numbers with specially prepared dice. When the sucker rolls, it's up to chance, but whenever you roll the dice all roll fours, fives or sixes. The highest total wins, and somehow, whenever the bets are big, you keep winning.
